Ashley is a writer exploring motherhood, mental health, and marriage.

 

She is currently at work on a memoir about breaking cycles, surviving psychosis, and learning to share the truths we've been taught to keep hidden.

Ashley Carlsen writes poems and narrative nonfiction at the intersection of mental health, family, and personal transformation. She creates essays and memoir-driven pieces that illuminate how we break patterns, repair from rupture, and rebuild a sense of self.

 

She is an avid crafter, a maker of many soups, and she lives in Minnesota with her family.​
